Need help in Pricing Calculation at Service Contract Item level.
We have done custom settlement periods and billing plans for the service contracts in SAP CRM. We have defined new rules for the Billing Plans which include Non-Calendar Billing (If the Settlement Period is selected as Non-Calendar Monthly Period, and the contract Start Date is 04/22/2013 and End Date is 12/31/2013. Then the Billing Period is divided as 04/22/2013 - 05/21/2013, 05/22/2013 - 06/21/2013 and so on...and finally 12/22/2013 - 12/31/2013). So in brief, for the given contract start and end dates, for the Calendar Monthly Period, it is 9 days, 8 months and for the Non-Calendar Monthly Period, it is 8 months, 10 days. Because of this, there is a mismatch in how the pricing is calculated.
For the Service Contract Header, the Net Value is based on the Billing Plan Value, and for the total Item level pricing is based on the Pricing Procedures.
The Item level Pricing is always calculated based on the Calendar period. So, if I select the Settlement Period as Calendar Period, then it is fine, but if I select the Settlement Period as Non-Calendar Period, then the Item level pricing is different from the Header level pricing.
Is there a way we can define how the Pricing needs to be modified at the Item level, to be calculated as Non-Calendar Period. We need to find a way to rectify the mismatch in the Net Value at the Header and Item level..
