We are working on SAP CRM 7.0. In CRM web client UI, for business transaction “lead” we have put some validations for mandatory fields in the transaction on EH_ONSAVE event. When we try to save the lead transaction without entering the mandatory fields in web UI, the system throws an error message and do not allow us to save/modify the lead transaction.
But the problem is that - when the user clicks on “Back” button on the Lead details page in web UI or clicks on some other link in navigation bar profile, one standard popup is displayed showing the message – “ Do you want to save your changes”. If we click on yes, the lead is getting saved without entering any data in it, which is not the desired behavior. The lead should not be saved until and unless it passes the validations. So tell us what to do to make all the validations effective when we leave the UI page either by back button or clicking on some other link. Is there some SAP method or variable where we need to change to make it effective.
