Activity Management Creation and Status Update

Hi,

I have an issue and am unable to figure it out.

Can someone tell me, if I create an activity via CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN and then for some reason if the code is called again will a new activity be created or it will update the status of the newly created activity from previous step.

My issue, is I see 2 status update on the activity when created, not all but few.
