Validating the BP Name F4 help field

Hello Experts,

  I have created a F4 help for BP name. I want to validate this field now on entering the Name manually. Please suggest what is the efficient way in achieving this requirement.

Is this needs to be handled in do_validate_input ? how to get the BP names for validating this field ?
